FJCU Tops List of Private Universities Most Favored by Employers
A survey released by 1111 Job Bank on 21st January revealed that Fu Jen Catholic University topped the list of private universities most favored by employers for the second year running. According to analysis of survey data by 1111 Job Bank, there is a rising trend in employers who look for interdisciplinary talents and those with problem-solving skills. On topping the list for the second year in the row, FJCU President Vincent Chiang Han-sun stated at the press conference that “not only are we proud of this achievement, this is also an affirmation of our education philosophy of integrating the humanities with technology, in line with societal developments.”
According to 1111 Job Bank’s analysis of the survey results, the ‘big four’ of NTU, NCKU, NTHU, and NCTU no longer dominate the scene, with private universities and vocational schools becoming favored by employers vis-à-vis graduate employability. The top 10 universities on the overall rankings are as follows: NCKU, NTU, NCTU, NTUST, FJCU, NCCU, NTHU, TKU, NTUT, and NTUB.
The top 3 public universities favored by employers are NCKU, NTU, NCTU, while among private universities FJCU topped the list, with TKU leaping up the ranks amidst their active efforts in liaising with industries, clinching the second spot. CYCU and SCU followed in third and fourth respectively on the list.
