Dear colleague,
we would like to remind you and interested staff of our 3rd International Summer Workshop on IT Education & Research. It will take place from June 8 – June 10, 2017 at the School of Informatics, Communications and Media of theUniversity of Applied Sciences Upper Austria inHagenberg.
With our 3rd International Summer Workshop on IT Education & Research we will concentrate on entrepreneurial skills required by IT students and graduates who intend to set up their own business and seek to enforce the dialogue and knowledge exchange between internationally active IT universities by:
- featuringkeynote talks from speakers
- Michael Johann Kräftner, Founder and CEO of CELUM GmbH, AT
- Dinaro Ly, Director of the MaRS FinTech Cluster, CA
- Daniel Cronin, Co-Founder and Member of the Board of AustrianStartups, AT/IRL
- Marie-Hélène Ametsreiter, Partner at Speedinvest, DE
- providingroom for discussions and exchange of experiences and best practice models of IT educators and founders of IT companies
- supportingface-to-face networking through social events
The 3rd International Summer Workshop is open for all educators, researchers, students and IT professionals. Participants are invited to attend one of two parallel workshop tracks on Thursday and Friday. The type of contribution is open (talk, demo, video, experience report, etc.), no submission is required.
Participation in the 3rd International Summer Workshop on IT Education & Research is free of charge. Participants are expected to cover their own travel and hotel costs as well as meals and activities outside the official programme. Please note that there are funding opportunities via the Erasmus+ programme; if applicable, your International Office can give you more information.
A free shuttle from Linz to our campus in Hagenberg is provided. Hotel recommendations in Linz are available on our website.
Registration is possible until May 12th.
